Remote Tutoring Program

The Remote Tutoring Program is designed to troubleshoot difficulties in math using Internet as the channel for communication. The Internet connection may be set up as a “videophone” by buying a web cam and downloading a simple program like SKYPE. We have been tutoring face-to-face for years. But now we have students who are being tutored over Internet with excellent results.

Part of our success is our experience, which is now being consolidated into specially developed materials. Among these materials, the “Levels” address mathematics on a gradient as it is introduced in schools. The “Milestones,” however, address various concepts in mathematics in a logical and systematic manner.

The Levels and Milestones are made available on this web site free of charge. It is recommended that you study them in sequence. Help is available in terms of troubleshooting sessions. These sessions cost $50 per hour. These sessions address the specific difficulty a student is having. Such troubleshooting sessions address levels up to college level mathematics.

The basic tutoring approach is to encourage the student to think systematically. All difficulties in learning arise from earlier blanks in understanding. Troubleshooting involves discovering those blanks and handling them one by one starting from the earliest.

Remote Tutoring trains a student to think systematically with math fundamentals. It brings one up to a level of confidence in one's thinking. This puts one on the road to success in any endeavor.

The Levels and Milestones are being made available for free. Tutorial help up to college level math may be purchased at $50 per hour.
